Description
Well. I already typed all this out, but for some reason, it was gone. Here goes again.1. I made a model using a mousetrap, a ping-pong ball and an old pizza box.
2. I got a tube of semi congealed stained glass paint and squeezed it onto the model to create the large, bloody veins and nerve bundles.
3. I painted the medium sized veins onto the "eye" using stained glass paint.
4. I took photos of the model.
5. I imported the pictures into Photoshop.
6. I painted on the very fine blood vessels using the paintbrush tool.
7. I took a macro photo of my own eye and superimposed the iris and pupil onto the ping-pong ball.
8. I did some touching up to match light sources and so on.
9. I did some slight alterations involving saturation and contrast.
10. I added a blurred, slightly darkened vignette to create a border.
So. There you have it.
If this description disappears, I will be most upset.

I totally dig this. I was wondering, did you photoshop the iris/pupil or was this traditionally painted onto the ping pong? I like how you used the paint (I think that's what you used) for the stringy gore trail. Using the cardboard was also an awesome way of placing something for the background. Adds to the "filth" of the piece.
